## About the role

We're hiring a Member of Technical Staff (Safety Generalist) to join our Safety team. This is a build-and-operate role: you'll design and ship classifiers, pipelines, and tooling that detect and respond to harmful content and behavior on the platform — and then own those systems in production. You'll work closely with engineering, policy, and leadership to define what "safe" looks like at Hark and build the infrastructure to enforce it.

## What they're looking for

- 3–7 years of experience in trust & safety, content moderation, or a closely related field
- Hands-on experience building and shipping ML classifiers or detection systems (not just running them)
- Comfort operating production systems — you've held a pager, triaged incidents, and shipped fixes under pressure
- Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to work across ambiguous, high-stakes problems
- Genuine motivation to work on safety problems — you care about why this work matters
