## About the role

You will own hardware designs for Helion's fusion generator prototypes. You will be working with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production technicians, to implement and troubleshoot high-voltage and low-voltage hardware architectures for pulsed power capacitor banks that are designed for production at scale. You will solve multidisciplinary engineering problems that are necessary for deploying fusion energy to the world and act as a culture driver on a growing team.

## What they're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 7+ years of professional experience delivering on full-scope engineering projects (including schedule ownership)
- Experience applying engineering first-principles and method-based thinking to challenging problems
- Hands-on exposure to a variety of engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, fluids, thermal)
- Experience designing, testing, and launching production hardware at scale
- Moderate understanding of engineering physics fundamentals (mechanics of materials, circuits), and the ability to apply those principles to the design of high-voltage and pulsed power hardware
