Ibotta is looking for a software-focused Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As a key contributor within the Data Platform Organization, you will join our Data Infrastructure & Compliance Engineering (DICE) squad to build and govern the foundational data platform that every team at Ibotta depends on. ## What they're looking for

- Experience: 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on data engineering, analytics engineering, or backend development
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform or similar tooling
- Cloud and Data Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS and with Databricks or a comparable Spark-based platform
- Security and Governance Awareness: Understanding of access control, data privacy, or compliance requirements in a data context, and an interest in building systems that enforce them
- Delivery Track Record: Experience as a key contributor on medium to large data or infrastructure projects, from ideation through implementation
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
