## About the role

Inflection is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to own spacecraft structures, mechanisms, ground support equipment, and mechanical integration. This role reports directly to the CTO. This is a full-time, onsite role based out of Inflection’s HQ in Los Angeles, CA.

## What they're looking for

- Own spacecraft structures, mechanisms, and mechanical integration from requirements through flight hardware fabrication and test
- Design spacecraft structures, mechanisms, and component packaging, create CAD models, drawings, and tolerance analyses
- Manage vendors and subcontractors
- Lead prototype builds, mechanical assembly integration, and environmental testing, diagnose and resolve hardware anomalies as they arise
- Select materials and manufacturing processes to reduce cost and simplify assembly
- Design for reliable, repeatable production
