## About the role

As Fin becomes mission-critical for our most strategic customers, we’re growing our team of Forward Deployed Engineers to help bridge the gap between customer needs and product innovation. These roles can be based out of our San Francisco or Chicago offices.

## What they're looking for

- A strong engineering background and experience building software with real-world usage. Experience building a SaaS product is a plus, but not a requirement
- Interest in AI and machine learning, and the ability to quickly build an understanding of novel problems, capabilities and architectures - including their trade-offs and limitations
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate organisational boundaries and bring people together to achieve the best outcomes for our customers
- The ability to prototype and ship software quickly while maintaining a high bar for quality and a clear focus on business goals and outcomes
- Proficiency using and writing REST APIs to integrate systems effectively
- Strong communication skills. You can comfortably discuss the same topics with engineers and non-technical audiences, adapting the depth and detail as needed
