## About the role

Intel is seeking a highly motivated Software Research Intern (PhD) to join the TCAD Software Development team within Intel Foundry. This internship offers an opportunity to work on advanced computational software solutions supporting semiconductor technology development. The selected candidate will contribute to cutting-edge software applications involving computational geometry, scientific computing, visualization, CAD technologies, and high-performance computing.

## What they're looking for

- Minimum 3 months of educational, research, laboratory, internship, or industry experience
- Strong academic performance with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- 3+ months of academic or professional experience in one or more of the following:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and software development skills
- Computational geometry algorithm design, analysis, and implementation (2D and 3D)
- Computer graphics and scientific visualization using OpenGL and/or ray tracing technologies
