## About the role

Reliability Engineers at Lunar Energy will be responsible for ensuring product reliability throughout the entire lifecycle of our revolutionary home energy products. This includes providing input during the design phases, developing test plans, and assessing on-going field performance. We are looking for people who are passionate about a more sustainable future and want to make that vision a reality. An ideal candidate is someone who is excited to collaborate with a diverse and dedicated team

## What they're looking for

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or
- Proven track record of solving complex power electronics reliability failures
- Working knowledge in theory of operation of common power converter topologies (inverter, buck boost converter…etc)
- Strong grasp of PCBA-level failure physics (CTE mismatch, solder fatigue, contact resistance, insulation degradation)
- Familiarity with failure modes in common power electronics components (electrolytic caps, relays, semiconductors, magnetics)
- Working knowledge of failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, SEM, CSAM, X-ray, cross-sectioning and EDX - know which technique to recommend given a specific failure
