## About the role

Elveo is developing cellular-based space payloads and seeks a Wireless Engineer to design and implement air interfaces for Elveo’s satellite-direct-to-phone services. This role involves developing DSP, optimizing the physical layer procedures, and implementing custom resource scheduling algorithms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless communications, signal processing, and RAN development to drive innovation in next-generation satellite-based mobile networks.

## What they're looking for

- A Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Deep understanding of communication theory and signal processing related algorithms design, such as filter design, clock recovery, signal detection, channel estimation and equalization, channel coding, MIMO
- Strong knowledge of software defined radios - SDRs and their implementation
- Strong knowledge of the 3GPP standards, including LTE and 5G PHY, MAC, and RRC specifications
- Hands-on experience in lab testing & characterization
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C or C++ for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation
