## About the role

We're looking for a writer who already knows K–12 education from the inside, and who wants to spend their day diving into good math instruction.

## What they're looking for

- Writing you can show us. Blog posts, a newsletter, curriculum documents, PD materials, a Substack, a conference deck, a program evaluation. It doesn't need to be marketing writing. We're looking for writing where you made an argument and someone read it
- A comfortable working pace. Two to three finished pieces a week, sustainably, with an editor in your corner
- Range across registers. A piece for a math coordinator and a piece for a superintendent can make the same argument and share almost no sentences. If you've briefed a board, presented to a cabinet, or worked with proficiency and adoption data, tell us about it
- Fluency with the language of the work. Productive struggle, vertical alignment, fidelity, discourse, number sense, as things you've watched succeed or fall apart in real life
