## About the role

Work directly with engineering and technical teams to define procurement requirements for pre-operational sites; translate technical specifications into sourcing scope Own end-to-end pre-operational procurement: qualify vendors per established policy frameworks, run RFQ and competitive bid processes, negotiate pricing and contract terms, execute purchases, manage first deliveries

## What they're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related technical field required. Candidates without a degree who can demonstrate equivalent technical depth through experience will be considered
- 8-12+ years of experience in procurement, project procurement, or capital purchasing in mining, industrials, chemicals, or a related sector
- Proven track record of owning pre-operational or greenfield site procurement from spec to first delivery
- Strong technical background with the ability to read specifications, understand process requirements, and engage credibly with engineering teams
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms under time pressure and without a large team behind you
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent procurement workstreams across different projects and sites
