## About the role

Material Bank is seeking a senior Privacy & Product Counsel to join our Legal team as the company’s second lawyer. This is a builder’s role with significant ownership and visibility across the organization. You’ll advise the business on a broad range of legal matters, with particular focus on the questions that arise where product, data, privacy, marketing, and commercial partnerships meet.

## What they're looking for

- JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, or eligibility to register as in-house counsel where required
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including meaningful in-house experience (ideally at a high-growth technology company)
- Strong substantive experience in data privacy and product counseling
- Working experience in marketing/consumer protection and commercial contracts
- Strong legal judgment and the ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical business guidance
- Experience operating in resource-constrained or fast-moving environments where prioritization, judgment, and adaptability are essential
