## About the role

MoonPay is looking for a Product Counsel to be the dedicated legal partner for MoonPay's expanding product suite. This is a rare, high-impact role covering two interconnected mandates: our DeFi products - DEX routing and aggregation, non-custodial wallet infrastructure, and AI-powered agent integrations - and our regulated crypto asset services, including crypto-asset exchange services, digital asset custody, stablecoin issuance, and stablecoin card services.

## What they're looking for

- JD (or equivalent) and active bar membership in at least one jurisdiction
- 6+ years of legal experience, including meaningful in-house experience at a crypto, DeFi, fintech, or regulated financial services company
- Deep, working understanding of DeFi: how DEXs and AMMs operate, what smart order routing involves, how non-custodial wallets and MPC key management work, and how smart contracts are used in protocol integrations
- Solid grounding in the US regulatory frameworks most relevant to DeFi products: FinCEN money transmission and MSB analysis, SEC securities regulation, CFTC commodity derivatives regulation, and NYDFS requirements for licensed entities
- Experience providing product lifecycle legal advice directly to engineering and product teams
- Excellent communications skills — the ability to deliver crisp, practical legal advice and synthesise complex regulatory constructs succinctly, especially where the law is unsettled or its application to novel technology is unclear
