## About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for translating engineering sketches, concepts, and specifications into accurate, production-ready 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks. The Mechanical Designer will play a key role in moving designs from concept through fully populated assemblies while ensuring manufacturability, documentation accuracy, and adherence to company and industry standards.

## What they're looking for

- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on professional experience
- 3+ years of professional experience creating detailed 3D mechanical models and assemblies in SolidWorks within an engineering, manufacturing, or product development environment
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks part modeling, assemblies, and drawing generation, including creation of production-ready models and fabrication drawings
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, and large mechanical assemblies, with the ability to design for manufacturability
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and experience producing technical drawings aligned with ASME drafting standards
- Experience managing CAD data, revisions, and documentation using PDM/PLM systems such as SolidWorks PDM or Windchill
