## About the role

We're seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Architecture team and drive technical leadership across our core platform. This role will actively contribute as an IC while helping evolve the backend platform services, from configuration to entitlements to shared data platforms, that every other team at Noom builds on top of.

## What they're looking for

- Proven experience operating at the Staff-level or equivalent in backend engineering roles, with at least 8–10+ years of experience
- Backend platform experience at large-scale D2C or B2B2C companies, ideally building for internal engineering audiences
- Familiarity with distributed systems that operate large-scale, high-volume platforms
- Deep proficiency in Java or Kotlin and experience with the Spring framework
- Familiarity with relational databases and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred, but strong experience with at least one major cloud provider required)
- Demonstrated success in architecting scalable, fault-tolerant integrations with external systems
