## About the role

Novo is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the platform surface area that connects, activates, and deepens value for small businesses in their first 90 days and beyond. This role spans our DDA onboarding to funding activation funnel, invoice workflow, external integrations ecosystem — three interconnected surfaces that together determine whether a new Novo customer becomes an engaged, transacting one. The role will also explore how to apply AI to enhance how SMBs interact with Novo.

## What they're looking for

- Apply AI to enhance how SMBs interact with Novo: smart invoice tooling, automated transaction categorization, agentic financial workflows, and personalized platform experiences that reduce the cognitive load of running a small business
- Defying and leading the product vision for Novo's AI integration strategy (should we build an external API, agentic workflows?) while ensuring AI-driven features meet financial services privacy and regulatory standards
- Deep familiarity with SMB customer needs, financial workflows invoicing, accounting, payments, cash flow and the small business software ecosystem, recognized as a domain resource who can guide teams on what matters and why
- Proven ability to turn customer insight into product decisions: experience running discovery, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative signals, and making prioritization tradeoffs that are defensible with data and grounded in user reality
- Technical acumen sufficient to partner effectively with engineering: comfort with API concepts, integration architecture, and the ability to write clear specs and make informed tradeoff decisions without being the one writing the code
- Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate product work generating content, analyzing data, prototyping features with sound judgment about where AI adds real value and where it introduces risk, particularly in a regulated financial services context
