- 3+ years as an HR generalist or people operations generalist, ideally at a startup or a small team
- Hands-on generalist work across onboarding, benefits, employee relations and compliance, not just coordination

- Judgment with sensitive situations, and knowing when to bring in employment counsel
- Organized, and you keep process simple enough that people actually use it
