## About the role

OpenGov is seeking an ERP Solutions Engineer to guide local government finance teams through evaluating and implementing OpenGov's financial solutions. In this role, you'll conduct discovery with government finance teams, translate their accounting workflows into system configurations, and deliver compelling demos that show how OpenGov modernizes budgeting, general ledger management, procurement, and financial reporting.

## What they're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in accounting or finance systems)
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial systems, ERP implementation, or public sector finance advisory
- Strong understanding of government accounting principles, fund accounting, GASB standards, budgeting, procurement, and financial reporting requirements
- Ability to communicate accounting and system concepts clearly to finance teams, IT staff, and executive leadership
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements
- Comfortable with cross-functional collaboration and building credibility with customers and internal teams
