## About the role

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer, Intern to join our Applied AI team for the summer. This is not a typical internship. You’ll be treated as a full member of the team from day one, working directly with our customers, owning a meaningful problem, and shipping solutions that help some of the world’s largest insurers scale their operations with Pace.

## What they're looking for

- Have built something from scratch through a class, research project, internship, startup, open-source contribution, or personal project
- Have a strong software engineering foundation and experience programming in at least one language
- Enjoy working through ambiguous technical and operational problems
- Communicate clearly and are excited to work directly with customers
- Take ownership, move quickly, and seek feedback
- Care about whether what you build creates a successful outcome for the customer, not just whether the code works
