## About the role

Position Overview : Pivotal Life Sciences is seeking an Investment Associate. As a member of the Pivotal team, you will rigorously evaluate clinical data, trial design, regulatory pathways, commercial opportunities, competitive dynamics, and cash runway. The role also requires expertise in therapeutics valuation and financial modeling, along with the ability to assess catalysts, downside risks, financings, dilution, partnerships, M&A, and management execution across public and private markets.

## What they're looking for

- Education : Advanced technical degree (PhD) in Biology or a related life sciences field required. No exceptions
- Work Experience : 2-5 years of relevant work experience in venture capital, investment banking, or buy or sell side public investment research, with a focus on biotechnology (ideally therapeutics) preferred
- AI and Data Science Skills :
- Familiarity with data analysis, machine learning, and AI applications in finance and/or biotechnology
- Basic programming skills in Python or similar languages are a plus
- Financial Acumen : Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis
