## About the role

As a member of the technical staff, the Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the development of cutting edge complete robotic solutions for logistics and e-commerce applications. This position requires empathy for the customer as the engineer will travel to client facilities to understand client application requirements and technical constraints. - Responsible for the development of automation solutions that promote implementation of Plus One product offering in support of strategic growth applications within the logistics industry
- Manage activities that take place during solution ideation, design, and communication phases
- Work with the internal sales team to identify and assess the value and feasibility of potential applications including site travel as required
- Communicate application functional requirements and proposed methods to both internal and external partner project execution teams
- Support pre-sales activities including proof-of-concept scoping, demonstrations, and technical Q&A with prospective customers
- Provide mechanical consultation in client-facing meetings ( identify issues that will affect installation)
