The Credit Specialist in this role will be responsible for managing daily counterparty credit exposures and business relationships within the controls and credit risk appetite outlined in the Credit Policy, Standards, and Procedures. Success in this role requires strong financial and technical analytical skills, the ability to collaborate effectively, and the capability to build and manage relationships with both external counterparties and internal stakeholders, including other members of the credit team. - 10+ years of relevant credit experience in the energy industry with understanding of both physical and financial markets
- Proven ability to independently conduct complex credit reviews, assess counterparty risk, and assign credit limits, ratings, and terms in alignment with established Credit Policy and the Delegation of Authority
- Daily monitoring and management of counterparty credit exposures and tenors across various business segments, ensuring strict compliance with internal standards and ETRM systems
- Demonstrated capability to provide strategic input and direction into contract and collateral negotiations while applying effective risk mitigation strategies
- Ownership and maintenance of quantitative credit scoring models for portfolio benchmarking, paired with technical proficiency in tools like Power BI, Power Automate, and Databricks for data analysis and automation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to act as a key liaison to internal stakeholders and external counterparties, advising on deal structures and new counterparty requests
