## About the role

Deepfakes and AI-generated fraud are now front-page news, and Reality Defender sits at the center of that story. We're looking for a Communications Manager to lead the day-to-day public relations work that keeps us there from pitching journalists, placing coverage, to managing the press relationships that shape how the market understands the deepfake threat - while also supporting the broader communications work that keeps our story consistent across every audience.

## What they're looking for

- 3+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations, ideally in tech, cybersecurity, or another fast-moving industry (agency or in-house experience both welcome)
- Existing relationships with, or a clear track record of building relationships with, journalists and editors (you know how to pitch a story and get a reporter to call back)
- A strong, clear writer who can turn technical detail into a pitch a busy reporter will actually read, and adapt tone across different formats and audiences
- Organized and responsive, comfortable managing multiple press conversations, projects, and deadlines at once
- Calm under pressure and able to think on your feet when a reporter reaches out unexpectedly
- Curious and eager to learn the technical details behind what you're pitching and communicating
