## About the role

The Senior Social Media Manager owns the daily management and strategic growth of Lonely Planet’s global @lonelyplanet social media channels, which reach over 14M travelers across 10 different accounts. A thorough understanding of social networks, product features and trends is a must – along with strong video editing, photo curation and copywriting skills across both editorial and sponsored social content.

## What they're looking for

- 5-7+ years of experience in social media management and branded content, with a portfolio showcasing past work
- Deep understanding of platform-native storytelling and the content creation process, including best practices for short-form video and creative copy, with a portfolio showcasing past work
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously without sacrificing detail
- Confident in client-facing environments and able to navigate feedback with clarity and professionalism
- Experience with project management software and social media tools (Sprout, Asana, Figma, Canva, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut preferred)
- A strategic thinker who understands how creative execution connects to revenue outcomes
