## About the role

We’re looking for a Lead Android Engineer to build Rogo’s Android app from the ground up. Rogo is not available on Android app yet. You will start with a blank canvas and own the foundational decisions that shape the product for years to come: architecture, technology choices, design patterns, development standards, release processes, observability, and quality. You won’t be maintaining someone else’s decisions or modernizing a legacy codebase. You’ll define what excellent Android engineering looks like at Rogo.

## What they're looking for

- 5+ years of professional Android development experience
- A track record of building and launching high-quality Android applications
- Strong command of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and the Android SDK
- Experience making foundational architecture and technology decisions
- Deep understanding of Android application architecture, lifecycle management, and platform conventions
- Experience with Kotlin coroutines, Flow, concurrency, threading, and performance optimization
