## About the role

Saronic is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Captain to lead the operation of our mid-sized autonomous surface vessel, Marauder. In this critical role, you will ensure the safe and efficient navigation of the vessel through a variety of maritime environments, while conducting mission testing and supporting cutting-edge autonomous systems operations.

## What they're looking for

- Valid U.S. Coast Guard 500/1600T Master License of Self-propelled Vessels Upon Oceans. Unlimited Master’s license desired
- STCW Basic Training, GMDSS Operator, OICNW, Medical PIC, FCC License
- Proven experience in a senior officer role aboard crewed vessels in dynamic maritime environments
- Strong knowledge of maritime navigation, safety procedures, shipboard emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to interpret nautical charts, weather forecasts, and navigational tools to support mission planning and execution
- Valid TWIC , USCG STCW Medical Certificate, and passport
