## About the role

Scotch is building the next-generation operating system for beverage alcohol retailers — combining POS, payments, back office, and e-commerce into a platform purpose-built for liquor stores. We’re modernizing one of the oldest industries in the world: the $1.6T beverage alcohol market. Our platform helps retailers run more efficiently through streamlined payments, inventory management, reporting, and day-to-day operations. ## What they're looking for

- 6+ years in QA or software engineering in test, including 2+ years as the senior or lead quality owner for a shipping product
- A track record of building test automation from scratch, not just maintaining someone else's suite
- Strong coding skills in Kotlin, Java, Ruby, TypeScript, or Python. You write test code that engineers are happy to review
- Hands-on experience with modern frameworks (Espresso, Maestro, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar) and running them in CI
- Experience testing APIs, data integrity, and integrations between systems
- Sound judgment about risk: you know when a bug should block a release and when it shouldn't, and you can explain why
