## About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, validation, documentation, and release of next-generation aerospace cockpit control systems and pilot interface products for commercial, military, and emerging Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft. This role is a key contributor to one of Sensata's strategic growth initiatives focused on developing innovative technologies that support the evolution of more electrified, connected, and autonomous aircraft platforms.

## What they're looking for

- Experience developing products for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Urban Air Mobility (UAM), eVTOL, electrified aircraft, fly-by-wire systems, or next-generation aerospace platforms
- Experience designing safety-critical aerospace hardware in highly regulated environments, including familiarity with FAA and EASA regulatory frameworks, certification processes, and airworthiness requirements
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer concepts into manufacturable product designs through all phases of development
- Experience with aerospace certification and qualification testing, including environmental, vibration, mechanical, and reliability requirements
- Passion for innovation and emerging aerospace technologies with a desire to help shape the next generation of flight systems
- Base Salary Range: $ 104,560.00 - 156,840.00
