## About the role

As a Software Engineer Intern, Backend at Serval, you’ll work directly on core parts of our platform as we build AI-powered automation for modern IT teams. This is a hands-on internship where you’ll contribute real production code, learn how an early-stage product is built, and see your work shipped to customers. Work closely with our CTO and founding engineering team to build and extend backend product capabilities.

## What they're looking for

- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with an expected graduation date between Dec 2026 - 2028
- Strong fundamentals in computer science (data structures, algorithms, systems)
- Familiarity with at least one backend programming language (Go, Java, Python, or similar)
- Clear communication skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment
- Excitement about startups, ownership, and building products from the ground up
