## About the role

The Payroll Specialist is a senior, hands-on payroll professional responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across the United States, EMEA, and APAC. This role owns recurring payroll activities from input collection and validation through reconciliation, funding, reporting, and issue resolution, working closely with employees, HR, Finance, Accounting, and external payroll providers. ## What they're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including substantial hands-on responsibility for both U.S. and international payroll processing
- Demonstrated experience processing payroll across multiple countries in EMEA and APAC through third-party payroll providers or an equivalent global payroll model
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll practices, wage and hour requirements, payroll taxation, deductions, garnishments, leaves, and year-end reporting
- Experience reviewing and reconciling complex payrolls, investigating variances, and maintaining strong controls and audit documentation
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup and conditional formulas, data validation, and reconciliation of large data sets
