## About the role

Socure's legal team is seeking a Commercial Counsel. Reporting to our Head of Commercial Legal or a Senior Legal Counsel, you will have a chance to help shape the company's legal function, build processes and policies, and partner with Sales, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as other attorneys. We offer an exciting, fast-paced company environment, with a shared mission to eliminate identity fraud and lead the identity verification market.

## What they're looking for

- • JD from an accredited law school and active Bar membership in good standing
- • 4-8 years of post-JD experience independently negotiating SaaS, technology, licensing, partner, and vendor
- agreements with minimal oversight
- • Working knowledge of consumer data privacy laws relevant to commercial contracting (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GLBA,
- FCRA) and how they shape customer-facing data terms
- • Law firm, data use/licensing, and fintech experience preferred
