## About the role

The Licensing Engineer supports the development and execution of licensing activities for Standard Nuclear’s fuel fabrication and transportation programs. This role focuses on authoring and reviewing technical documentation, supporting safety analyses, and ensuring alignment between engineering design and regulatory requirements. This role is based in Oak Ridge, TN and involves regular work in manufacturing, laboratory, office, and industrial environments.

## What they're looking for

- Develop and support Safety Analysis Reports (SARs) and associated technical sections Ensure technical accuracy, clarity, and regulatory alignment of all documentation
- Support licensing activities related to NRC regulations, including 10 CFR Part 71 (Packaging and Transportation of Radioactive Material)and 10 CFR Part 70 (Domestic Licensing of Special Nuclear Material) as applicable
- Review engineering, design, and fabrication drawings for licensing compliance
- Assist in preparation of regulatory submittals and responses to regulatory inquiries
- As required assist in hazard identification, accident sequence evaluation, and identification of Items Relied on for Safety (IROFS)
- Perform regulatory gap analysis and regulatory comparison evaluations
