## About the role

We're looking for our first Forward Deployed Engineer. You'll be the person who makes sure every new customer has a seamless transition onto Stardex — owning data migration end-to-end, building tools to automate the process, and working directly with search firms to understand how they operate so you can help them get the most out of the platform.

## What they're looking for

- You're comfortable writing TypeScript and SQL to transform, clean, and migrate messy data from one system to another
- You're extremely detail-oriented. Data migration has zero margin for error and you take pride in getting things right
- You instinctively reach for AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) to automate repetitive work rather than doing it manually. You're always looking for ways to use AI to make processes faster and more efficient
- You have some understanding of database optimization — you know why a poorly structured query or schema matters
- You can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical people when needed
- You have a "whatever it takes" attitude. If something needs to go live by Friday, you figure it out
