## About the role

Step is looking for an experienced product designer who can lead the overall product, design, and UX strategy for growth initiatives (e.g. signup/onboarding, rewards and gamification). We are a design-focused consumer banking product that works on physical products, digital products, and mobile apps. We're looking for someone to roll up their sleeves, lead design on individual features and make design decisions in a role with plenty of room to grow.

## What they're looking for

- Significant demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design for consumer-facing products
- Strong visual design sensibility with the range to move fluidly between systemized UI and more expressive, brand-forward moments
- A craft-obsessed designer who strives for quality and has an amazing attention to detail
- The ability to lead design for important projects with experience delegating work and giving direction to other designers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (you should be able to clearly articulate your design decisions and the logic behind them)
- The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision (not just 'how it should look' but 'what we should build')
