## About the role

TaxBit is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Systems, Security & Compliance organization and take ownership of the cloud infrastructure that powers our platform. In this role, you will be a technical leader for our AWS environment, driving the architecture, automation, and operational excellence of systems that our customers and internal teams depend on.

## What they're looking for

- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. minimum) in Computer Science or a related field
- Significant experience in systems/infrastructure engineering, with deep, hands-on expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure
- Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or an equivalent language
- Required: hands-on experience with CI/CD, GitHub, and Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK preferred, Terraform acceptable)
- Experience designing and implementing backup strategy, data architecture, and disaster recovery for cloud systems
- Experience implementing and maintaining logging and monitoring/observability solutions
