## About the role

Tempo is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineering Technician with strong welding capabilities to produce engineered parts and assemble testing apparatus, instruments, sensors, prototypes, and power electronic components. The ideal candidate is a driven professional who has recently graduated from a strong technical program, has 2–4 years of hands-on experience, and is eager to bring their energy and foundational skills to a fast-paced startup environment.

## What they're looking for

- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, formal welding certification, or completion of a technical/trade school program
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical fabrication, welding, and assembly, experience in an R&D or startup environment a plus
- Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding on various metals
- Exceptional safety acumen and commitment to safe work practices
- Familiarity with manual mills, lathes, grinders, and general metalworking tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
