## About the role

This role is accountable for keeping assigned subsystems reliable, maintainable, and available for production. The Field Operations Engineer will own subsystem performance, condition, failure modes, maintenance needs, spares and consumables, procedures, reporting, and improvement opportunities while working directly in the field to troubleshoot issues, support maintenance, drive equipment improvements, and minimize downtime.

## What they're looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, production engineering, manufacturing, logistics, integration engineering, project management, or a related field
- Experience in field operations, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, tunneling, logistics, or another fast-paced operations environment
- Strong technical problem-solving skills with hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, controls, robotic, or heavy equipment systems
- Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, prioritize issues, and drive practical improvements in a production environment
- Willingness to work long hours in the field, including significant time in the tunnel, with strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams
