## About the role

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel, Product to serve as one of the primary legal partners for TRM's Product and Engineering organizations. You will advise on the legal implications of product decisions from conception through launch — with a particular focus on how TRM collects, uses, and delivers blockchain data, and how it builds AI-powered features on top of it.

## What they're looking for

- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
- 6–8 years of legal experience at a reputable law firm and/or in-house at a technology company, with a substantial focus on product counseling
- Demonstrated experience advising Product and Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle, ideally for data-intensive or AI-powered products
- Working knowledge of the legal issues that shape technology products — data use and licensing, intellectual property, AI/ML, consumer-facing terms, and how privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) intersect with product decisions
- Strong commercial instincts — you understand the business context behind legal questions and give advice that helps teams make decisions, not avoid them
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, cross-jurisdictional environments where the right answer isn't always obvious, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines with minimal supervision
