## About the role

We’re hiring a Data Engineer to join our team and help build the foundation of Verse’s data infrastructure. This is a high-impact, zero-to-one role where you’ll help design and scale the data architecture that powers critical product and operational systems. You’ll work closely with engineers, data scientists or operations teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and actionable across the organization.

## What they're looking for

- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytical engineering, or data architecture
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience building complex, high-performance queries
- Deep experience with modern data stack tools, including data integration tools (e.g., Fivetran, Airbyte), transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt), and modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Proven ability to design, build, and scale end-to-end data infrastructure, including pipelines, schemas, dimensional models, analytics layers, and ML-ready datasets
- Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, privacy, and observability best practices
- Excellent problem solving, communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
