## About the role

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to work closely with our founder and CEO as Viam grows. This role sits at the center of how the company operates. You’ll have visibility into the decisions and information that shape Viam, including company strategy, planning, customers, investors, the board, and new business opportunities.

## What they're looking for

- 6+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, startup strategy/BizOps, or a similarly rigorous environment
- Strong analytical and financial skills. You’re comfortable building a model, digging into company metrics, and figuring out what the numbers actually mean
- Technical fluency. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be able to follow technical conversations, ask good questions, and work credibly with engineering and product teams
- Excellent writing and the ability to make complicated ideas clear
- Experience taking ambiguous projects from an open question to a concrete outcome
- Strong judgment about what matters and where to spend time
