## About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Fleet Management team, you'll build the platform that lets Wayve's engineers and operators deploy software, monitor vehicle health, and understand what's happening across the fleet in real time. The team also plays a central role in Wayve's robotaxi operations, acting as the interface between our vehicles and the external services that dispatch and manage autonomous rides.

## What they're looking for

- Experience designing, building, and operating APIs and web services, including sound judgement around API contracts, data modelling, service boundaries, reliability, observability, and failure handling
- A track record of independently owning meaningful projects end-to-end, from problem definition and technical design through implementation, deployment, and production operation
- Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures, with an understanding of reliability, consistency, scalability, and failure modes across service boundaries
- Experience using metrics, logs, traces, and observability tooling to understand production systems and make data-driven decisions
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Product, engineering, and operational teams across the organisation
- An interest in mentoring engineers, improving engineering practices, and contributing to technical direction
