## About the role

Build and lead the Battery Technology organization across Battery Cell Engineering, Battery Systems Engineering, and in-region engineering team members in China. Define and drive the multi-year battery technology roadmap across cell chemistry, battery architecture, charging, safety, reliability, and performance.

## What they're looking for

- 10+ years of experience in battery technology, battery systems, electrochemistry, or related hardware engineering, including meaningful engineering leadership experience
- Deep expertise in lithium-ion cell technology, including chemistry, cell design, performance, degradation, safety, qualification, and manufacturing
- Strong understanding of battery systems, including pack architecture, charging, protection, validation, reliability, and product integration
- Demonstrated success developing battery technology roadmaps and bringing new technologies from exploration into high-volume products
- Experience building and leading multidisciplinary or geographically distributed engineering teams and developing technical leaders
- Proven ability to build strategic relationships with cell manufacturers and technology partners and influence supplier technology roadmaps
