## What they're looking for

- 5-7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally at a high-growth company, insurance, insurtech, or fintech experience is a plus but not required
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP and STAT (Statutory Accounting Principles), and comfort operating within a regulated, multi-entity insurance business
- A track record of owning and improving accounting processes end-to-end - not just executing tasks
- Hands-on experience with an accounting system or ERP (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar) and an AP/spend platform (Ramp, Bill.com, or similar)
- A demonstrated track record of using AI tools or agents to redesign reconciliations, payment processing, and routine bookkeeping
