## What they're looking for

- 4–10 years of professional experience developing software in a production, mission-critical, aerospace, defense, intelligence, or other highly regulated technical environment
- Demonstrated experience with one or more modern programming languages such as C++, Python, Java, C#, Rust, or similar
- Experience with software development fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, version control, debugging, testing, and software design patterns
- Experience developing and integrating software for distributed, embedded, real-time, data-processing, command-and-control, sensor, or other complex technical systems
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile, and fast-paced engineering environment and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with software development tools and workflows such as Git, automated testing, CI/CD, issue tracking, code review, and build/deployment automation
