About the role
Define and execute a full-time project with an AfterQuery research mentor, aligned with your interests and at least one core research area. Formulate research questions, design rigorous experiments, and analyze the results.
What they're looking for
- Significant academic, clinical, legal, or industry research experience
- Clear technical communication and strong scientific writing skills
- A strong record of research or publication and demonstrated ability to take a project from initial scoping to rigorous, reproducible results
- A passion for advancing frontier AI and some understanding of model evaluation
- Availability to work full time in San Francisco for 12–16 weeks
- Research publications at leading conferences or peer-reviewed journals
