About the role
Unlike traditional distribution centers, our facility handles high-mix, custom designed components, expensive test equipment, sensitive electronic components, and custom engineering prototypes. You will ensure fast intake, accurate cataloging, rapid internal delivery, and flawless logistics tracking to keep all stakeholders aware of goods movements.
What they're looking for
- Inspect & Process Inbound Shipments: Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming daily freight and parcel shipments (FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight carriers) for damage and order accuracy
- Fast-Track Delivery to Labs: Ensure components, raw materials, PCB assemblies, and custom parts are logged into our system and delivered directly to specific engineering labs or individual engineers in a timely manner
- Capital Equipment Intake: Properly record and tag incoming high-value lab equipment, tooling, and test rigs for asset management
- Tracks and receives non-inventory transactions including consumable materials, office supplies, I.T. equipment and other materials
- Collaborates and communicates with external parties, such as logistics providers and customer service representatives, to ensure success of shipping activities
- Space Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized 60,000 sq. ft. receiving dock and central inventory room
