About the role
This role will influence the design of the next generation of Digit, aimed at meeting customer needs at a commercial scale. The PCB Layout and Interconnect Engineer will help drive the robot design and will develop robust and reliable electronics for this and future robot generations. Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers is essential to understand product requirements and ensure designs are robust, safe, and production-ready. What they're looking for
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5 or more years of PCB layout and cable harness design experience
- Deep experience with Altium Designer (for PCB layout) and 3D ECAD/MCAD integration
- Experience with complex layout constraints including high-speed differential signaling, impedance control, and power electronics
- 3D visualization capabilities to imagine and optimize space constrained circuitry and harness routing in challenging mechanical and thermal environments
- Strong understanding of IPC standards for PCB fabrication/assembly and wire harness assembly (IPC-620)
