What they're looking for
- Associate degree, technical certification, GED, or equivalent hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems
- 2–7 years of experience assembling mechanical or electromechanical hardware
- Experience building wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and working with connectors, soldering, and crimping tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly work instruction documentation
- Experience using common shop tools and equipment for fabrication and assembly
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical builds, mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting hardware systems

- Build and assemble mechanical and electromechanical components and subsystems for underwater vehicle prototypes, test articles, and low rate initial production.
- Fabricate and assemble wiring harnesses, connectors, and cable assemblies following electrical schematics and documentation.
- Perform mechanical assembly of structural components, pressure housings, propulsion systems, and internal subsystem assemblies.
- Execute functional, electrical, and mechanical tests using defined procedures and test equipment.
- Assist engineers with debugging, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems during integration phases.
- Utilize and maintain test fixtures, tooling, and hardware used for subsystem validation and system integration.
- Support environmental and system-level testing, including pressure, leak, vibration, and functional tests.
