About the role
Own the program strategy and implementation plan for the DoWEA’s Literate Brain: Developing Pedagogical Content Knowledge in the Science of Reading & Writing scope of work, translating contract requirements into clear milestones, roles, deliverables, evaluation measures, and success criteria. Lead the design of Science of Reading and Science of Writing professional learning aligned to the DoWEA scope of work.
What they're looking for
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in literacy, education, professional learning, curriculum and instruction, or a related field
- Deep knowledge of the Science of Reading, Science of Writing, Structured Literacy, cognitive science, and pedagogical content knowledge, with demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge to PK–5 instruction
- An advanced degree in literacy, reading, curriculum and instruction, education, or a related field, or nationally recognized expertise in literacy or education
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a demonstrated track record of producing accurate, polished deliverables and managing complex workstreams with minimal errors
- Demonstrated successful oversight of at least one elementary-school professional learning or coaching program implementation in a school system
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (current passport required) and work effectively across U.S. and international time zones
