About the role
We are continuing to expand our product portfolio, now moving into the surface maritime domain. Products like Dive-XL, Dive-LD, Copperhead, Seabed Sentry, and surface products in the pipeline will create a system-of-systems that enable a multitude of autonomous missions across all maritime domains. - Support the full product lifecycle from early prototype through rate production - you'll be involved from system requirements and initial design iterations through manufacturing and delivery, not just one phase
- Drive DFM into every decision - developing low-cost, producible designs that can scale from prototype quantities to rate production
- Navigate a dynamic solutions trade space that incorporates external constraints, evolving requirements, timeline considerations, and quality in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Contribute as a member of a multi-disciplinary integrated product team, providing a new perspective to teammates of various backgrounds and experiences
- Critically assess mechanical solutions for their value to the end user, cost and ease to manufacture, time to deliver, reliability, reusability across various product lines, and iterability
- Make practical engineering trade-offs - we value judgment and momentum over analysis paralysis
