About the role
We are seeking a Finance & Strategy partner focused on Public Benefit and Global Affairs, working closely with our Global Affairs and Public Benefit teams. You will be the finance lead for how Anthropic plans, funds, and reports its giving and policy work: a category of spend that spans grants, philanthropy, direct programs, and policy engagement around the world. What they're looking for
- Experience in FP&A or strategic finance, ideally at a high-growth company or foundation, with meaningful time supporting philanthropy, social impact, or global affairs work
- Experience in grants, philanthropy, or impact-investing finance
- Advanced financial modeling skills in spreadsheets, with experience building budgets, forecasts, and multi-year plans where few exist yet
- Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining complex financial concepts to program leaders, policy staff, external partners, and executives
- Ability to push back constructively with data and clear reasoning
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action, including building processes while the work is still being defined
